Description
The graph displays how our atmosphere is able to filter out some of the ultraviolet and infrared radiation that comes to the earth. Some of the major absorbents are ozone, oxygen, water, and carbon dioxide. |
|
Instructions 1. Why is it important that we have ozone as a absorbent in the UV region of the light spectrum? 2. Think about the implications of having increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere when it is an absorbent in the infrared region of the spectrum. |
