Description
The available European database of archeomagnetic field values and instrumental data has been used to produce a regional model for the geomagnetic field in Europe for the last 3000 years (from 1000 BC to 1900 AD, connecting with the epoch covered by the IGRF models). Reference: Pavón-Carrasco, F.J., M.L. Osete, J.M. Torta and L.R. Gaya-Piqué. A regional archaeomagnetic model for Europe for the last 3000 years, SCHA.DIF.3K: applications to archaeomagnetic dating. Instructions 1. Download the programs (.exe) and the file (.inp): 2. The files must be in the same directory (for example:C:\schadif3k\). 3. Run a program (for example: psvc_scha.dif.3k.exe). 4. The progam asks for the input data (latitude and longitude or time). 5. A new file with the output data (.dat) will be generated in the same directory. |
