By using the semiclassical, perturbative theory formulated by Mehrotra and Boggs, the J and temperature dependence of line width parameter is computed for ClO-N2 and BrO-N2 systems. The temperature dependence is found to be J dependent. As per these calculations the value of the line width parameter for the ClO-N2 system is at least 35% higher at the temperature T = 300¿K, and also the temperature dependence is different from that of the value of Waters et al. However, this disagreement is within the uncertainty range stated by them.
