Description
The lab activity provides a platform for students to improve their understanding of conservation. The lab acitivity is intended to test the students understanding of the material, by providing them with a management problem where they must allocate funds to a group of organisms based on their relative importance. Since the importance of an organism depends on who is making the decision, the activity introduces first hand the difficulties of conservation when multiple parties are involved. Students/groups will be given the opportunity to research an individual organism to represent. This activity uses online and in-class resources and encourages teamwork and public speaking. |
